Thanks @sitter . I just got the 5.1.2 update in KDE Neon user updates today and it worked like a charm. Thanks again for all the amazing work. When the time comes we should do a post on /r/kde about it too!

@sitter Thanks for the hard work. Does this mean we are waiting for the 5.1.2 release of KTorrent?

@sitter Any idea what is going on here with this other user? I have no idea who he is or why he is upset.

Hey I noticed the torrent didn't generate anymore:

Great work. Really impressed by the turnaround time on this and the fixes to KTorrent, those are awesome.

Wow really great work I just got a chance to test the KTorrent changes they work awesome!
I'm looking at the KTorrent bug and trying to fix it. I've got a working setup right now to build and debug libKF5Torrent.
in light of ktorrent being bust, should we maybe run a seed? it would kinda defeat the purpose of load balancing through mirrors though

Does anyone think this can be easily backported to previous versions of KDE in upstream distros such as Kubuntu, etc.?

Thanks @davidedmundson I'll take a look.
I don't agree with @zzag or @davidedmundson here, despite how much I love the changes they make to KDE and their work overall. The functionality is clearly desired based on the Reddit thread that brought this post back to life: https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/ajeume/are_there_any_plans_to_improve_pip/

I think this is a useful feature to add to KDE. If others disagree with the way @wsdfhjxc implemented it I think they should provide a clear pathway to getting it accepted. As long as this can be implemented in a way that doesn't affect default sorting behavior, it doesn't make sense to refuse to allow people to have a custom sorting order. Reasons like the codebase being too fragile are implementation specific details that shouldn't deny a feature request.
