There isn't much space in vertical mode to display the list lest the chessboard's size be decreased. A pop-up is a good option.

the color is hidden only when we open the activity then after scrolling the glitch goes away.

There are many other activities which have the same problem in vertical mode and Animtim (irc) said that he would come up with a general solution for this. So i don't think patching it up would be good now. :)

harrymecwan updated the diff for D9942: T7614 Memory games patch.

Creates simple rectangle to display player's and tux's scores for vertical mode only as suggested by @Animtim for a quick patch.
He said many activities have the same problem and he would come up with a general solution for this later until then patching it this way.

Scaling it down will work but wouldn't it look different that all memory activities have smaller bar and other activities won't. In my opinion bar is core to every activity and should not be changed as per the requirements of each activity.
