bugsbane added a comment to T7790: Growing Plasma Mobile: Goal: Onboarding of new contributors.

Hi there. I'm currently trying to figure out how to contribute, and came across this, so I figure I'm in the target market (ie someone not currently contributing but looking to start). My background is in marketing/design/UX. I just wanted to share my personal experience with the current interaction path. I didn't manage to complete my desired goal, which was finding a good beginner task that would help Plasma Mobile, fit my skills and had someone who could help me get started.

bugsbane added a comment to T10843: Kube icon idea.

Ah, no I hadn't seen it. Maybe you could add the current icon to the kube-project.org website and the app. The reason I submitted this proposal was because I didn't see any logo either on the site or in the app, and assumed you didn't have one! o.O

What's the most important element in our UI?
Just something to keep in mind when thinking about colors and transparencies... It's a UX classic mistake to make, to only look at images of the one part of the interface being discussed, separate from the rest of the UI and so lean towards whatever design is most striking. This leads to every UI element being designed to stand out the most, which makes for a jumbled, distraction filled UI where every element is vying for the users attention and distracting their attention away from the most important information.
