Do I get it correctly that this is a lot about empowering people to influence their world - specifically adapt software to their needs through simple code changes?
Just a quick ping to not forget to adjust the proposal to be less about the specific solution.
I think we need to move this proposal a bit more away from a specific solution towards an aspiration. How are we going to make the world better? What stories are we going to be able to tell once it is done?
I wonder how this and T11075 relate. Can we figure out how to not split votes between them by either combining or clarifying the distinction?

Definitely put the text under images - not just on mobile, but on the desktop version as well. It doesn't look good at all when it's offset like that.
@KonqiDragon Thanks, this looks really nice. Before I start implementing, how should this design looks on small display? Should I move the text under the image?
