I think Raspberry Pi will overheated, or could to make some "Plasma Lite Mode", by the way Raspberry Pi is not power thing.

I don't have strong feelings but agree that our very fast release cycle maybe is not the best suited for codenames. For Ubuntu versions that do have codenames, I never remember the mapping to codename to version and trying just imposes some mental overhead.

Some folks in the VDG channel have objected to the panel being 48px tall, so here's how it would look at 38 (the default Windows panel height):
Not as touch-friendly, but the clock text looks better and it won't be so huge for people using low-DPI screens. However 38 is not easy to calculate by our existing units so it would likely need to be hardcoded.

I agree, the proposed "KDE OS" version of Neon should continue to strive to be as vanilla as possible. It doesn't make sense to create a showpiece for KDE software that diverges from what KDE software does by default. If the default is bad, change the default. :)
I think a large part of this task is simply admitting that Neon is already an OS, and being proud of this fact rather than trying to hide it in the futile effort to avoid upsetting people who are already upset. Slimbook ships it on hardware. My wife who is sitting next to me has it on her laptop. It's an OS; if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it is a duck. :)
Let's not get sidetracked with the promo angle too early. Paul is right: we need to decide on a course of action and then execute the plan before we promote the message we want to communicate as a result of this plan.
Get people on board, make some progress, hit some milestones, and then we'll see.g at it objectively.

I don't think Promo is the place to start carrying out this task. It seems to me that you would need to incentivise some deeper changes in KDE neon before thinking of promoting it as feature-complete distribution. As you say:
I really want to see KDE neon as the flagship os, but to realistically, this is requires to (hard) development.
And the Promo workboard is not where you should be asking for support to do that, (a) because we don't do that kind of thing in Promo -- it is more a developer/packager thing; and (b) because we don't tell others what they should do. We work with the end product, not influence (or try to influence) what that end product should be.
I do agree that this would be a good thing to promote when the first part, the part where you turn neon into a feature-complete distribution, is completed, but to carry out that, I think you have to take this task to another board.

Why preview is so pixely? Why not to make smooth preview by Default?

I think it should be something like a Material Design or Microsoft Fluent Design, the completely new KDE Design*.

I believe that our main goal is to interest people in Plasma which are don't know what it is, and who are afraid Linux. I know a lot of people who really afraid the Linux and and consider me crazy because i use it.

Here's a couple of kaidan mockups from your second comment, @alexde
Honestly the app only lacks an emoji monochrome icon and minor tweaks if anything. I think it doesn't even need a task

Oh I love the gear idea! In general I think KDE would benefit from leaning into the gear symbol more. It's a good symbol, and already pretty strongly associated with our brand.

Thanks for the detailed summary, @alexde!
That's basically the current style (ours uses a slider instead of blocks, but that's not a big difference). The problem we're trying to solve with is that some people complain about the large square OSD style because changing the volume while watching a full-screen video results in the OSD briefly obscuring the center of the video. macOS suffers from the same problem with their large square OSD, so it is a legitimate concern.
Though I like the status quo for aesthetics, I find myself gravitating towards variant 1 as my favorite solution to the problem described here. The biggest drawback with this style is that it can obscure subtitles in full-screen videos if it's positioned too high up. But if it's positioned quite close to the bottom of the screen, maybe that concern can be alleviated?
I like how looks a Volume and Brightness indicators in MacOS, it's has a dividing lines (blocks), if i'm not mistaken 1 block has a 5% of volume or brightness level.

I updated the mockups, now it's have a kool tweaks by @manueljlin

A few thoughts about the mockup:
- Search button placement is not good. It's visually disconnected from the part of the UI it affects (Dolphin has the same problem)
- Elisa currently puts it in a very good spot
- Main control bar is too wide and tall.
- Elisa seems to built around playlists, so adding a way to quickly access them to the sidebar is a good idea that can be adapted into the current design.
- Is the heart Last.fm integration? Isn't that out of fashion now?
- The repeat and shuffle buttons look like they're on opposite sides for visual balance, but it's better for usability to put them next to each other. They're strongly related to each other and are placed next to each other in every other music player.

Sorry, i don't know how improve toolbar. But, you can improve it! I attach a SVG file of this mockup in description.
I VERY don't like that in current Elisa a playback controls is on top, becouse i use Spotify and on other my favorite music players playback controls is on bottom, so I decided to move the playback control to bottom.
"I personally don't like it" is not a good reason to change something. Having the playback controls on top is natural since it puts them into the app's toolbar area, where most apps have their global tools and actions.

Ugh, I did it, this time there's mockups of Timeline, say what you like of this variants!
Dec 16 2019
Here a Artists category mockups, prompt me what to add about selected artist in addition to Name and Genre? Also than fill the empty space upstairs (where the search place)?
Based on this screenshot, I don't think Elisa needs a complete redesign. It mainly needs the following:
- More colorscheme compatibility, unless that has already been fixed
- We need to decide if some of the styling for its UI elements should be changed to match the Breeze widget style or if our widget style should be changed to match Elisa
- Pixel perfect icons (maybe colorful icons, but monochrome looks so nice here), but this is mainly a breeze-icons problem, unless Elisa is using 24px icons.
I made some changes, the most replacement thing is that i relocate a timeline to bottom.
