Looks like this patch for korg is enough to prevent akonadi from starting and tying up resources. We could probably shut this down as resolved.

This is now added to KCI. There was a bug in morse which was echoing conversation back to sender, but that appears to be resolved now [1]. Hopefully this can now be uploaded to the archive and maybe tested and put into backports.
Have you been able to get sink to build with flatbuffers?

Looks good to me
I would be +1 for dropping it off our seed for zesty. It should still be installable via apt / discover / muon but as Ovi mentioned it would free up resources and make the system faster. I would far rather have an opt-in solution rather than opt-out as default.

So we have compiled a list of nine applications and made a default kickoff menu which gets displayed in the live session and any new users created also see this default until they customise it to their own tastes. This has been uploaded and should land in the next daily iso
seed has been refreshed and we should now be able to upload these. I'd like to discuss the task at the next team meeting, and hopefully make some progress on resolving it.

The packaging should also be reviewed, with respect to this commit:
I asked snowhog to see if the Kubuntu Forum users has any suggestions

@aaronhoneycutt could the Kubuntu Docs team help out with getting KHelpCenter updated and fit for purpose?
kphotoalbum has now been packaged and added to KCI. It has not been uploaded to the archive due to it not being in our package and now would require a FFe. If someone wants to pick this up, please do.
Can this be marked as resolved?
Uploaded 17.04ubuntu1 to archive.
Old calligra packages have been removed and as of today the notifier no longer tells me there are language files available for me to install.

For me personally, I have no preference as I will customise my desktop how I want regardless of these changes.

I wonder if we could engage the community, maybe ask snowhog about putting a poll on the Kubuntu Forums?
I like the idea of having Muon Package Manager and KHelp Center on there

Also, would the URL for kplp not be something like https://code.launchpad.net/~kubuntu-packagers/kubuntu-packaging/+git/\\{@} ?
Does removing language support cause issues for non-English people? Could you find someone to test it in a non-English environment?

I asked cyphermox to run the seed refresh script, and he acknowledged the request, but it's now two days later and I still can't upload these.

@obogdan I think you originally opened this task on Trello, will you test if the fix works please.
Added the package mtpfs as a suggests in dolphin. This way the package manager will try and install it if possible. I have uploaded the fix to zesty.

Ive marked this as high priority as we NEED to get kirigami2 into the archive and try and fix this annoying crash on exit
Kirigami2 seems to fix the icons in Discover 5.9, but the application seems to Seg Fault on exit. We need to look into getting this fixed.
Uploaded digiKam 5.4 to Zesty
Once calligra lands in archive, we need to request the removal of src:calligra-l10n
Uploaded calligra to zesty - https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/calligra/1:3.0.0.1-0ubuntu2

I have appstream 0.10.6 running on Zesty and discover still has no icons ( http://imgur.com/a/XJcPo )
Rik and I composed an email and sent it to devel-permissions@lists.ubuntu.com

Im not sure what upstream are doing with this, is this a brand new package needed ie kirigami2 or can we reuse the packaging in Ubuntu already - https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kirigami

Shouldn't xkb-data have a depends or recommends on xkb-data-i18n in
order for it to be installed as well?
Opened https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xkeyboard-config/+bug/1660072 on Launchpad as I think this is an issue with the source package (xkeyboard-config) and xkb-data not depending on xkb-data-i18n
