macOS has lldb which is a bit like gdb, but not quite.

Quick reminder that "At this point it should be obvious to everyone desktop free software will never be profitable, and thus has to rely on volunteers." is baloney. It's meaningless dribbling without any real relationship to the real world. Can we please can this nonsense? Can "churaev" please look outside their bubble and check out desktop applications like Blender and Krita, please?
We could try to skip the strip step for the beta appimage builds, then backtraces should happen automatically. For macOS, the instructions are just too complicated for the average user, so we'd have to skip that. For the crash question, a follow-up asking whether the user has found out how to repeat the crash and what steps are needed to reproduce the crash would be useful.

I've started a team page, based on what we already had. I'll ask on the mailing list for additions and mini-bio's. We can either cut out heads from the team photo to go with the sections, or look at what Dmitry and Agata have.
We could ask for testing the bugs that were fixed in this report, but it's regressions we want to catch, so that's not that useful. Maybe we should compile a list of frequent regressions...

I'm going to close this task as well. This isn't a useful way of communicating with the Krita team. Like Wolthera has said, talk to us first before creating tasks like this. We have an active team and if you want to participate, you need to be in touch with us first, before creating tasks on Phabricator.

I started coding on this during the sprint, rempt/T11343-qaction-search-widget is the branch. I'm looking at the source code in Qt Creator, which also basically brings together many different sources of information in one search popup.

September is definitely not going to work :-(. We need the 4.3 release to carrry the fundraiser, and II need to have the resource rewrite done for 4.3.
This definitely needs discussion with the sysadmins. Ben -- what do you think? Basically, we will need to store our dev fund subscribers info somewhere, and allow them to change that themselves.
Note: https://developer.blender.org/source/blender-dev-fund/ is blender's dev fund website code

That's what I meant: in the news post tell people about the new feature, and to download the stable nightly, which would have the survey link.
Okay, that mail didn't work. I thought we might just put the survery link in the krita welcome page; that way people have to at least start the right version to do the survey.
Maybe I should extend our news widget so it can show icons for different kinds of news...
I am thinking that for the 'feed' what we could just do is a monthly post with new stuff? The biggest problem we've had up till now with keeping people up with our development, is that there's noone with the time to write these articles. That's how the 'this week in krita' posts stopped happening.
