Hello all,
When we were discussing the use of Donorbox for Membership of KDE, we decided to use fundraising campaigns in donorbox because of the flexibility that we have. And we would have two campaigns, one fore ongoing donations and one for one - time donations.

Hey @paulb do you need me to set up the campaign on donorbox?
Aug 18 2023
Sorry, my bad.
@ognarb would you take a run on this?

@ngraham can you assist on this task?
Can we close this ticket as done?

- No. Custom amounts can only be set on common Campaigns, like the one that we have here: https://donorbox.org/kde-community
- I would like to have the board opinion on this. We may check the data from our ongoing campaign and check the average donation and start from it(lays check the gross data) -> The average donation is 30 Euro per donation. 10 euros is the average for the monthly donations and 60 euros for annual donations.

@ognarb We need two campaigns because of the bookkeeping of the board. What was though is that we will have one page pointing to both of the campaigns, one to be a member and one for the end of the year (that can be turned into one of always running campaign). We won't target two different Donorbox pages, we will target two Donorbox forms inside a page that we need to build.

After a quick meeting with @lydia today, these are the following updates:
Oct 28 2022
About regular/recurring donors: We do want to push people to become supporting members. This should be an explicit choice. We prefer this over someone being a regular donor but not a member. And we can not just count any regular donor as a member. Those are handled differently in accounting and they are also receiving different benefits.

Do we really need a separate campaign for membership? Could we roll everything into one UI for simplicity and comprehensibility?

I can setup Donorbox for KDE. For that to happen, I need some info:

I think that for unmaintained, we should have a graveyard, so the apps can't be forgotten, because they make part of KDE history.
Something like google graveyard.

Would using recurring instead of regular make sense? I know one of the meanings of regular is recurring, but it also means "plain/boring" :D
It makes. Changed that.
Should the one-off donations section have a header?
One-off donations goes inside on the section of donations types. Where the user sees how he/she can donate.

Hello @all =D
I have built a new website with the info gathered here about how fundraising works.
You can find it here:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/kde-fundraising/index.html
I would like to have your opinion/feedback and:
- 2 or 3 Images to substitute the background images of section 2 and 3. And an image to substitute the office image on section 3. I was thinking to use some Randa Meetings sprint photos, but the ones that I have are not good =/
- A Piwik script to track the access of this page
- Define a domain for this site like fundraising.kde.org
- Help to fill some empty spaces where are "Add something here"

@ngraham You can join the group on telegram to brainstorm the interface if you want to.
Also there's a lot of screenshots that @patrickelectric added to this task that you can look for inspiration.
