I closed the task because the Reference Images Docker has been removed and the Reference Images Tool has been implemented, with all of the features that are mentioned here. I've used the new reference tool for quite some time now. And actually like that it gets affected by the canvas change which is very nice when the users does photo studies. But I can understand that this isn't a behavior not everybody wants.

I think this is resolved already with the 4.1 animation improvements :)

I tried the image reference tool for a while, have a couple of thoughts about it, I know is in early state, thus my comment is also taking in account the description in this task.

Script to export all layers

Simple scripts to duplicate and export an image to jpeg or png. You can see some examples to setup your own config.

It's common to resize from different anchors, as a more precise alternative to cropping (which currently doesn't support snapping or fine-tuning of the size). When you apply resize canvas in batch, that's what it becomes: your crop tool. Cropping images in batch isn't so common, but it is something you'll use in games/web/graphic design every now and then. You probably won't need it for painting/comics though.

Yes, that sounds good. I wonder whether the dialog shouldn't look more like the Resize Canvas dialog, but I have to admit I never understood the Anchor option myself, and, in any case, when going over multiple images, that probably doesn't make sense.

I just got master building with the vector + python features on Ubuntu 16.10. @woltherav extra cmake flags helped me get the SIP location pointing to the right place. I was getting the "QtCore/QtCoremod.sip can't be found" error before that.

Yes, the sensor width stuff is indeed a problem, but at the same time that's also an argument for keeping the stroke data, because you would have the same problem if you ever wanted to have the sensor data. My instinct is to indeed write a seperate tool where the user selects a stroke, makes a new stroke and the closest points for the paintinformation will have their relevant data copied into it. Several programs have implemented something similar.

Uhm, dmitry, the user can change the handles of the stroke. This was already there. You just select a calligraphic stroke and move the nodes. It's a bit wonky because of the bounding box, but I managed to fix that bit.
