Changing effect causes "Preview rendering failed" error

Description

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

  1. Enable preview rendering in a project.
  2. Select a video clip within a preview zone.
  3. Add an effect.

OBSERVED RESULT

"Preview rendering failed, check your parameters. Show details" error appears at bottom left of window. Clicking "Show details" link opens a dialog window which shows: see Bug 400670

I cannot reproduce the effect issue. However, I confirm that compositions don't invalidate the preview. Working on it.
