It causes crashes in some situations (uncertain how to recreate, but...)
But the reasons I propose to remove it is:

1. If you add one, you cannot move it or even delete it (only undo)
2. Afaics it does not provide anything that a text shape does not provide, except yellow background as default.
3. I cannot find anything in oasis that should require this (but I might have missed it).
4. To me, the way it operates now feels like a bug, or at best unfinished.
