Create a list of video topics for our promo activites
Open, Needs TriagePublic

Description

This task is meant to create a list of video topics which we can use in our promo activities. I am willing to help wit recording, editing and publishing them on our YouTube channel. Here is a few of my proposals:

  1. Short video tutorials (how to test beta releases of our software, how to create a valuable bug report, how to set up development environment, how to submit first patch using phabricator etc)
  1. Tips a tricks. Interesting features, customizations which can be done using our software. We could create a series for each app. Something like: how to customize your plasma desktop, how to customize dolphin etc.
  1. People behind KDE. A series of video interviews with KDE developers, designers, contributors.

If you have more ideas and are willing to help please add yourself to this task.

We should have something on the ideological side - something explaining why KDE matters in the big picture of freedom, access and so on.

Are you thinking something like what the FSFE does? Or interviews?

Also https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpPnuSvCJLY though that is much more in-ward facing that what we want/need.

About 3 we are trying to do during last Akademy, see:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IAQ2SPhKt3E or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcuZ3SiU3VE (In spanish).

And we have some other (Lydia, Sandro, Andy Betts...) that are in "storage box" due to no time for edit and upload to youtube.

Adding to 2, I think that should be good to show some specific tools too (something similar, and related, like the scientific and KDE goal proposal), like Rkward for Gnu/R or others.
