Rename to "Export", and offer only 3-4 most useful formats on the first page with max 2 parameters for each.
We need to make that "Export" widget much more friendly.
Add possibility to arrange which profiles are shown on that first page?

Fix the less is better logic in quality parameters ( https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357153 )
Hi Vincent.
First of all great compliments for the job you are doing on the export widget.
Today I added a custom profile for exporting animated GIF.
I just set as command properties=GIF and it worked.
I can resize with no problem in the advanced tab but I can't change the frame rate of the new exported animated GIF.
Of course I can open a new project with the frame rate I need (for eg 15fps) and the size I'd like to export and the imported clip will match the new parameters (if I refuse to switch the project settings for matching the imported clip)
By using this way everything worked smoothly.
What I thought while I was doing that was:
- why there is not a configurable framerate parameter in the advanced tab?
- Could it be useful?
- Why there isn't a default profile for exporting animated Gif?
Thanks again for your good job.
Massimo.
One small thing I've noticed is that, to the right of the "Output File" text field, the button with the folder icon, the tooltip says "open file dialog". I think this can be confusing to some users. I might suggest changing it to something like "Choose file destination", "Choose folder destination", "Choose file destination"... something like that.
It'd be a nice feature if, while the progress bar is rendering, video thumbnails could be shown to the left of it to show which frame it's on. It's not needed, but it'd be helpful for the user.
@thediveo , you don't think it's intuitive enough as is right now? Further to the right = high quality? Isn't that the way most programs are designed?
No, to me it's unclear as to what right here means, more so as we have a tradeoff slider, so which side is speed and which is qualify? Why not clearly label things? And no, I'm not asking for Gary Larson-like labelling! ;)
Starting to research this. Here is the current state of the render dialogue for Kdenlive and other free software projects. (Will also research proprietary ones.)
