It's near impossible to get to the end of the mail list if it is long

Description

We only fetch new messages as we get to the end of the list, so if you have lot's of messages (like the 50k in my inbox), getting to the end takes forever.
This could be improved by:

  • Increasing the batchsize (so we have to go through less of these steps)
  • Making sure that just pulling down the scrollbar will repeatedly fetch more entries (right now just pulling down isn't enough).
  • Finding some other navigation mechanism to go far into past conversations.

Not really a problem in practice, and a solution would be search.
