From: https://www.kde.org/announcements/announce-applications-17.08.0.php
We're pleased that the following applications which were based on kdelibs4 are now based on KDE Frameworks 5:
- kmag (works, but does not show screen in ubuntu)
- kmousetool - works
- kgoldrunner - works
- kigo - works
- konquest - works
- kreversi - works after runtime dep on 'qml-module-org-kde-games-core' added
- ksnakeduel - works
- kspaceduel - works
- ksudoku - works
- kubrick - works
- lskat - works after switch dep to kdegames-card-data-kf5 instead of KDE4 version!
- umbrello - seems to work, though not much clue how to use it
Ideal test plan in VM or other snapshotable system:
- Install ubuntu or another flavour that pulls in zero or minimal KDE packages.
- Add 'backports', 'backports-landing' and 'staging-kdeapplictions' PPAs to systen
- Take system snapshot
- Install an app from above list
- Test that it launches, and runs/function as intended as much as is practical.
- If not, try to determine what is wrong/missing
- Report issues/solutions here
- Restore snapshot
- Repeat
