Hi,

Plasma 5.8.7 is available for testing in backports-landing.

I made a quick test on a couple of VM's and seems to work fine,

16.04 on real hw upgraded to 5.8.7 without issue.

I've upgraded my travel laptop tonight, and will be using/testing it tomorrow afternoon. I'll report back any problems here.

On real HW:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports-landing
sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade -y
408 packages to be updated (but it has been a while since I booted 16.04).
No obvious error messages in the Konsole
After re-booting, successfully tested krunner, kinfocenter (shows Plasma 5.8.7), konsole, dolphin, and discover.
