• The Technical part said we didn't need the close button
• The Client part has described in the document : https://techbase.kde.org/Projects/Usability/HIG/SearchPattern

in The Part "Search - Behavior" they have explicitly written "Close the query on escape or via close icon."

So must we do this task or not ?
