Breeze Icon Theme Homepage
Open, LowPublic

Description

We could to make homepage of Breeze Icons, where guests will can see how looks the Breeze Icons. Could to show a Apps, Folders/Places, Mimetypes and Monochrome icons.

Right now you can look at the gallery of Breeze icons only in Wikipedia (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Breeze_icons), but there is a lot of icons is outdated.

I made a mockup.

Also it could be cool to add in the end of site "More icons" button, where you will can see all Breeze icons, like in https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Breeze_icons.
Also it could add a "New/Recent" place of icons, where will be new icons or recent updated icons.

Why though?

Uhm, in order to strengthen plasma / breeze branding? I think it can be a nice-to-have.

I understand the need for branding, but a simple site to display all icons is not really immersive for the user. Taking a look at how Apple advertise their icons on https://www.apple.com/macos/catalina/ you can see that they do a combined showcase of their desktop layout and feature a few core applications which obviously also have their icons displayed on the page. This is pretty effective and subtle.
Microsoft even dials it back further on https://www.microsoft.com/de-de/windows/windows-10-apps and https://www.microsoft.com/de-de/windows/features by not even making the interface the important part, but rather the entertainment and productivity you could have when using them.
A page listing all icons could be done like https://fontawesome.com/icons?d=gallery and similar icon sets do it, or make it similar to how Cuttlefish looks (att. 1).

I guess what I want to say is: displaying icons: yes; but in a more effective manner when looking at it from a branding perspective.

Does that make sense to you? I sometimes have difficulties bringing my point across.
