It would be very nice if the speed effect supports keyframes to change the speed value over time with a smooth transition. You can find such a feature in other applications like Adobe Premiere Pro.

As far as I understand it this is something that needs to be solved upstream in mlt first before adding the interface in kdenlive.
There might be a way to do it here. But think it would be hacky and not accepted.
