How about moving the line with "DEL", "C" and "=" to the bottom?

This are buttons for essential functions and would maybe be more accessible when placed at the bottom.

At first I did not thought that all colors (almost) are from the Breeze color palette until I checked.

Interesting solution to overlap the tabs of the button panel. But with this we loose the space of two columns in total which could be used for other buttons. I do not know how fatal this is and which is the better solution.

yes It could be a problem but It looked a bit wiered having just a little bar of the different color

Could you please upload the source file so I could try some changes on myself?

I am not super fan of the rounded corner buttons, as it is totally opposite to our general design for PlaMo applications.
