With Konversation when the tray notifications feature is enabled, the tray icon breath bigger and smaller to indicate a notification, but the icon itself does not change, we could easily miss a new notification because the changes in the display are not important enough to attract the eye...

Konversation already have an icon for new messages konv_message... this patch use that icon to make the notification more visible and restore back the classic icon when there is no more notifications. (the breathing feature is untouched)
