This "Only KDE apps on KDE, only GNOME apps on Gnome" is an attitude we need to leave behind, not reinforce by introducing such filters.
The original bug report is only about mobile, which is an entirely different story
Whatever is the outcome of this, please do not use contractions, as they are obscure and they may not work in non-English languages.
Also, what about other DEs such as XFCE, LxQt, Cinnamon, Mate, etc?
I don't entirely disagree. It's been what I've been saying for years, but people keep insisting and I get tired.
On the other hand, I don't see a big problem with highlighting some important providers in our small corner of the world. In the end, there is value in highlighting the work of communities with a track record.
I don't know, it seems to me app is a thing nowadays.

It's about Gnome and KDE, not Gnome and Plasma.
I used to think this was really important but am less sure now. I don't feel the need to push for it, but nonetheless Aleix is right that it's pretty common user request--not just in that bug report but in other places too. So we might not want to dismiss the idea out of hand.
I'm preparing for a conference next weekend in which I plan to represent and promote KDE, and it occurs to me that this would make it really easy to highlight KDE's vast software catalog to interested parties.

We get a lot of requests about implementing various things, that does not always mean it's a good idea to do so

For this purpose https://kde.org/applications/ looks like the way to go for me
