**Goal**
Derived from our Promo goals. We want to increase our community and outreach in more countries, including:
- Brand awareness about KDE.
- Increase and engage new contributors.
- Increase the number of end-users.
**What is the KDE Network?**
The KDE Network will be a group of KDE representatives in their respective cities/countries. They promote KDE and it’s work in their local community. Additionally, they are responsible for helping to grow the community, and to act as a liaison between their local community and KDE.
Members of the KDE Network Group are Community Members who have agreed to help promote KDE. They use their knowledge of KDE and their public speaking skills or social networking skills or people skills to help promote KDE.
**What do they do?**
- Participate at local events on behalf of KDE.
- Request marketing material, swag, budget for events.
- Promote KDE, FLOSS, open source projects and cross-community interaction.
- Demonstrate KDE’s products.
- Community outreach and act as a liaison for contributors interested to become part of KDE.
- Promote KDE at local user groups and universities with talks, presentations etc.
- Recruit new contributors.
- Onboarding, mentoring and fostering new users and contributors.
- Report on the activities related to FLOSS in their region.
**Where are we located?**
The KDE Network will take place around the world, initially starting a pilot project in Guwahati, India.

Members:**The KDE Network Kerala team**
- The KDE Network Kerala team will include Subin, Kannan, # Aiswarya, Sreeram, Akhil (will confirm later)a
- They will prefer to have only 5 members. If Sashmita joins they will have 6 members. # Subin
- They will not remove inactive members.# Kannan
- They will not have any fixed responsibilities and will work projects wise.
Targets for 2021 decided by the Kerala team are:# Sreeram
- Complete and review the translation of Plasma UI, the homepage of https://kde.org/, Dolphin and Konsole by 21.08 release. Target is July 2021.
- GCompris tutorials for teachers and parents in Malayalam. Target is before June 2021.# Akhil

17 December 2020**
- Translation of GCompris cookbook.
- Krita tutorials in Malayalam. Sreeram will also plan the tutorialThe KDE Network Kerala team will discuss whether Mailing list or Matrix channel will be appropriate for people in Kerala to contact the team.
- Plasma tutorials in- The Get Involved page on KDE’s Website can be translated into Malayalam for Kerala region.
- Onboard 10 more motivated and active people to the team.- Also, Preferably from diversified fieldsthe KDE Network’s Wiki page can be translated into Malayalam.
- In April-May 2021 there will be Teachers' Training program in Kerala, if the Kerala team is ready with the tutorials and documentation then the team will do workshops or training in this programWe can have a Welcome page in Malayalam for new contributors from Kerala.
- The first step is to make videos/tutorials until then they will not start any programs.
Free Software Camp:KDE Network Kerala team has issues with translations issues but now it is sorted
- Kerala team- Aiswarya will continue to work for Free Software Campwrite an article on GCompris in Malayalam and ensure KDE’s participation therewill try to get it published in Newspapers.
- As a first step,- Kerala Government (ICFOSS: https://icfoss.in/) promotes free software and open source. they have shown Aniqa’s video to invite people to KDE.
Meetings:So, The KDE Network Kerala team would like them to sponsor their programs for both users and teacher training as it will not only help financially but it will help them to reach more people.
-- The KDE Network Kerala team will not have any set daystry to contact District Institute for meetingsEducation and Training. They will prefer to meet or talk whenever they are available.provide free venue and sponsor programs for teacher training.
- The KDE Network Kerala team will have a meeting every month with the Advisory Committee to discuss plans and participation at any upcoming events.
Support from KDE:KDE should sponsor the programs or sponsor should be directed to BoD/KDE.
- Kerala team does not need any financial support- Plasma translation will be completed by January 2021.
- They will need support with infrastructure like Big Blue Button, Presentations, Documentation etc- People in Kerala were informed about the KDE Network program through Matrix channel and there was a positive response.
- They want tutorial/videos to be uploaded on main- Progress about the KDE’s channels like PeerTube and YouTube Network will be shared on Dot.

- To make a list of items needed for starting the program like Big Blue Button- The team will confirm which pages can be translated into Malayalam.
- To set up a Wiki page for the KDE Network
- The team will check if any other marketing material is required.
- The team will check all the documents and Wiki pages.
