Inconsistent placement of some settings

Description

  • Move Login Screen (SDDM) and Boot Splash Screen to Appearance. All of the settings that uses the System Add-On Installer are in Appearance;
  • Create a Login Behavior section in Startup and Shutdown for the the Behavior... section of SDDM);
  • System Information is currently in the System Administration settings, however, viewing system information isn't the same as administrate the system. So, maybe a new section called Details with the System Information would fit better.

Boot Splash Screen is already in Appearance in Plasma 5.22.

SDDM can't be moved there until it's split in the way you indicate. This is already tracked by https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=437018. Let's keep tracking it there.

As for System Information, making a new group for just that would result in two items each in their own groups, which would look really weird. I think it's okay in System Administration right now.

Maybe System Administration could be renamed to System. It would fit better for the " System Information" issue.

Thanks! What about the other languages? I think it wouldn't be appropriate to use Google translator. Some translation might be wrong.

KDE has its own translation teams who translate the strings from English into other languages automatically.

However I completely forgot about this conversation and already made the change in https://invent.kde.org/plasma/kinfocenter/-/merge_requests/33 after I saw your bug report about it. :)

Can I submit the merge request with just the "name" variable changed and leave the rest (name[ar], name[ast], etc.) unchanged?

A question: your merge request is for KInfoCenter. Will this changed be applied to System Settings too?

Yep!

Yes; the page I renamed lived in the kinfocenter repo, but it's displayed in System Settings as well.
